Obituary of Judith Lynn Foss

Judith ‘Judy’ Lynn Foss died tragically on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 with her best friend Stephen Kelly doing what she loved most……enjoying the outdoors. Judy was born on March 6, 1963 in Saint John, NB to the late Chester Foss and Florence (Tyler) Foss.

 Judy will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her sister Bonnie Lockhart, cousins, treasured friends, and her special cat, Kitty. 

 In addition to her parents Judy was predeceased by her stepmother Muriel Lockhart-Foss and boyfriend Stephen Kelly. 

 Judy worked at Sobeys North in the seafood department for several years before retiring. In this position she made many friends that she has kept in touch with over the years.

 Judy had a great passion for the outdoors. She loved travelling the trails and going on adventures in the Musquash area. Additionally, she was an avid fisherwoman. She especially liked fishing for trout with Stephen. She also enjoyed boating in Musquash, ATVing, snowmobiling, and going for motorcycle rides. Judy was an exceptional gardener. She had an amazing green thumb. Judy loved to watch her garden grow and started many of her plants in her greenhouse carefully nurturing each plant. She always had a wonderful variety of vegetables when harvest time came.  

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Graveside Service will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery for both Judy and Stephen on Tuesday , January 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice. There will be a reception held at the Denis Morris Community Center following the interment. The families would like to thank the community for their kindness and generosity at this time.
