Obituary of Donald "Donnie" Lester
Donald R. “Donnie” Lester The death of Donnie Lester occurred on Friday, December 26th, 2014 at Kennebec Manor, Saint John.Born in Nauwigewauk, NB on October 26th, 1932, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Lester) Lockhart. Donnie was a transport truck driver for over 50 years & his hobbies included working on cars, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family.He is survived by his wife Kelly A. (Perry) Lester of Saint John, daughters; Christina Perry of Saint John, Sarah Myers (Dan) of Edmonton, Christine Baxter (Paul) of Saint John, Kelly Sherwood (Larry) of Saint John, step-daughter Bettie Doucette (Rodney) of Saint John, son Donald Lester Jr., (Shirley) of Saint John, brother Harold Callaghan (Lorna) of Wells, NB, sisters Judy Callaghan of Bellisle, NB, Marilyn Ricketson (Ralph) of Norton, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, mother-in-law Mary Perry as well as long-time friend Irene (Vivian) Comeau.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother-in-law Doug McGarity and father-in-law Kenneth Perry.Resting at Castle Funeral Home, with visitation on Monday, December 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church on Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00 am, Rev. Rob Salloum presiding.
