Donna and family....My condolences on Jim's passing. Now he is flying with the birds again - that is my connection to him - his aviation story. I hope I can go justice to part of his story in my upcoming book.

Donna, Mark, Peter and families,I will never forget the time that Jimmy took Andrew Kierstead and I flying on a lovely summer evening. We enjoyed the flight so much and Jimmy even let me "land" the plane, with some able assistance from Jim himself, but he swore that I brought it down on my own. My deepest sympathies go out to you.

Dear Donna,So very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I remember him fondly from past years from the time we were in Air Cadets together, to his Saint John Flying Club adventures, and the meetings from time to time later on. He was quite the guy, and I was proud to have known him as I did. He had quite a career in the RCAF, and I did envy him. Please accept my condolences to you and your family, and know that I shall be thinking of you in the days and months ahead.Don

Donna, Peter and Mark - This is the end of a long and weary journey for Jim and especially for you, and in spite of the finality of his death it must bring a sense of blessing and relief that his journey is now at its end and Jim is at peace. We recall good times with the choir at your cottage and singing with him with the Ambassadors and also at St. Columba. Our son Ian was at one time interested in his involvement with the Flying Club at the airport. Unfortunately we will be in Maine for a few days this week, including tomorrow, so will be unable to attend the visitation or the funeral. Our prayers are with you now in the days that are to follow.Ted and Norma

Donna, my first memory of Jim was as a child at Lancaster Baptist when Jim was at church dressed in his air force uniform. I shyly watched from a distance and heard people congratulate the two of you on your engagement. I was most impressed by the man with the wonderful smile, dressed in the uniform!I would like to express my sympathy to you, Donna and to your sons and their families.I have company coming tomorrow for lunch and won't be able to attend the service. Thinking of you... Anne Scott
