Ruth,Ronnie,Heather,Alice and Frank I would like to extend my sympathy on the loss of your Mom, I have such good childhood memories of her, always kind and happy. Marg and I were just talking a short time ago about how she told us about making wine out of dandelions, isn't it funny what stays in your mind from your childhood. Bless her heart, what a beautiful lady. I grew up on Highland Road and have fond memories of always being at Marguerite's house. She would always feed us and allow us to play or even stay all night at her home. She was always sharp with her mind right up until the end. She was a hard worker and dedicated. I am so sorry for her loss but know she her children loved her very much. May you rest in peace dear soul and pray we see each other again someday.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Marguerite's passing. My father adored her and always looked forward to her phone calls. I on the other hand, remember visiting aunt Marguerite and Uncle Jack and family on highland road as a child and the fun we had while our parents were talking. Also, she was at a lot of family events as we grew up and shared lots of stories of her life. I remember one story she shared about going up on the river boat to see her grandparents McCrow and about a doll her grandmother made her. There were lots of other interesting stories that she shared whenever I saw her. These are memories which I will hold dear. We will be unable to attend the funeral or the funeral home. I am sure there will be lots of memories shared there. Take care and store all your beautiful memories in your heart to reflect on as long as you live. You all are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Neice Florence and husband Norman.

My sincere condolences to Marguerite’s family and friends.I came to view her as a perennial spirit who would outlast us all … it’s hard to believe she’s gone.I first met Marguerite many years ago, when she would visit her daughter Alice in Toronto (Big Smoke), Ontario (Centre of the Universe). On one occasion she came to cheer on Alice’s slo-pitch team in a tournament down by Lake Ontario. While the ball players’ ages may have been (at least) half that of Marguerite’s, nobody could match her boundless energy and enthusiasm. And she was hilarious.I watched, awe-struck, as she affably introduced herself to each player … and anyone/everyone else walking past … by whipping out a small laminated map of Eastern Canada from her wallet, determined to school us in the difference between “St. John” and “St. John’s”. I only begrudging admit that for most of us, the map helped. In recent years, when Marguerite could no longer travel to Ontario, Alice kept me updated on Marguerite’s adventures with her backyard birds, deer and other wildlife … and of course her beloved Tigger, whom she adopted from that same backyard.Unable to join you this Thursday, I have made a small donation to the Canadian Wildlife Foundation to honour Marguerite’s memory and spirit. In sympathy,Judy Higginson
