Obituary of Joan Eloise Hollett

Joan Eloise Hollett passed away on October 21st, 2014. Joan E, as affectionately known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren was a unique individual. She was born in Burin, NL on January 1st 1934. Joan, a practicing psychologist, inspired and counseled many. An avid gardener and passionate reader, she loved a lively conversation and enjoyed being on her beautiful deck entertaining her large family. Joan has seven children, Jonathan Ferguson, Kimberley (Chuck Tait) Ferguson, Deborah (Bill Richards) Ferguson, Colin Ferguson, Jill (John Reid) Ferguson, Melissa Ferguson (deceased), Kent (Shauna Bird) Ferguson. Joan E’s legacy of love, curiosity and wisdom will live on through her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our family would like to thank Bobby's Hospice. The staff and volunteers were outstanding in their care for our mother and for us.Arrangements are under the direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in Joan’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
