Obituary of George Theodore Stackhouse
It is with great sadness the family announces the death of George Theodore Stackhouse on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Bobby’s Hospice. George was born in Saint John on 1931 the son of George Peebles Stackhouse and Ula Vivian (Kingston) Stackhouse. George lived most of his life in either Grand Bay or Saint John. He was an avid Montreal Canadians fan and Boston Red Sox fan and loved to watch both play, he also liked to go to the “Races” on Saturday afternoons at Exhibition Park. George loved the country music and liked nothing better than to sit out in the sun with his tunes. Before his retirement George worked at the Workers Compensation Board in Grand Bay. George is survived by his wife Margaret (Biggins) Stackhouse; son Graham Stackhouse (Ann); daughter Lindsay Stackhouse-Crossman; four Grandchildren Griffin, Ainsley, Mason and Dustin; several nieces, one nephew and two cousins. Predeceased by his parents and his brother Willard R. Stackhouse. As per George’s wishes there will be no visitation but a celebration of life service will be held at Westfield United Church on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations made to Bobby’s Hospice, Westfield United Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral Arrangements are in care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
