Well Dad, it just doesn't seem right here without you. Last night I was watching hockey and wanted to call you to talk, when I realized that no one would be there to pick up the phone at the other end. I will miss our nightly chats, your laugh at my jokes and stories and I will certainly miss your infectious smile. You were an amazing Father and I'm glad I was able to be with you holding your hand until you took your very last breath, that is something I will hold in my heart forever. Well as you always said to Griffin "See you later Aligator... in awhile Crocodile" Love you Dad forever and ever...XoXo.

To George's family I send along my condolences. George (Hummer, as my mother called him) was like a brother to my mother Frances Carr. They had known each other since he was a young boy. They ended up meeting up again at the Carleton Kirk Complex. Mum would invite him for lunches sometimes or send me down the hall with a strawberry shortcake for him, which he gladly accepted. Jeannine had been a caretaker to both of them and she is responsible for them being able to stay in their apartments for as long as they did. They were both very grateful for her. Now it is so ironic to see both of their obituaries on this page and their funerals will both be tomorrow. I'm sure they're up there together having a little chuckle. George was a very nice man and I thought the world of him.

A true gentleman. We are not sure at the time why certain people come into our lives, but I do know why George came into mine. I met George eight years ago and right off the bat I liked him, we connected , I always saw him in the hallway of his building and we would stop and have a chat. I have had the pleasure of caregiving for George that last seven months and got to know a man who has left me both sad and happy. We shared a lot of laughs and heart to heart talks that I will always cherish. I consider it an honor to have met people who are kind, caring, honest and that was George. I will truly miss my friend.Love you always,Jeannine Webb

Dad, you will be truly missed by all and are in a much better place today. I have learned to cherish the small things in life and truly understand how short life really is. Until we see each other again...as the saying goes onward and upwards. Love you Dad or "Hummer" as many of your friends called you. Love forever and Always Graham, Ann, Dustin, Ainsley and Mason.
