Obituary of Roberta Wilson
Roberta (Galbraith-Mabee) Wilson passed away peacefully on October 9, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1915 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Galbraith and was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Wilson. Roberta was a faithful member of the Brethren Meeting Hall in Lorneville. She was employed for many years with the Canadian Cancer Society and David Huestis Insurance Company before retiring in 1976. Roberta was a caring and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 Grandchildren Leatha (Randy) Howe, Freeman (Debbie) Mabee, Blake (Sharon) Mabee; 9 Great Grandchildren; 2 step sons Daryl (Sharon) Wilson, Winston (Daphane) Wilson; step Grandchildren Christine(Greg)Ross, Craig(Sara)Wilson, Jason(Angela)Wilson and Dr. Keith Wilson; daughter in-law Dorothy (Mabee) Grant; sister in-law Elsie (Galbraith) Rusling; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband Roberta was predeceased by son Paul Mabee; brothers Elden and Norman Galbraith; and grandson Keith Mabee. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701) with visitation on Friday October 10, 2014 from 2:00p.m-4:00p.m & 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home Chapel Saturday October 11, 2014 at 2:00p.m. Interment to follow at Lorneville Cemetery. Donations in Roberta’s memory can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Society, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
