My sisters & I were so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing and also of your Dad’s. Our mom was Joan Henderson, a friend of your Mom’s. I heard many lovely stories about your Mom from mine, Mom loved working with Velma and they became fast & forever friends. Mom thought so much of your mom & spoke so well of your Dad as well. Our deepest sympathies at this very difficult time. Meredith Henderson

Dear Brenda and Kenny
It has been quite some time since I have seen your parents, unfortunately. Thought of them many times. It is sad to see that Velma was the last McAllister on our properties on the Point Road, Lorneville. All are gone now ,except for Elizabeth , not too far away. Can still see Herb working away in his garage. Remember him with a raccoon long ago. Both he and Velma had great laughs. Velma was full of life. Wish we could have shared McAllister stories when we had the chance.
Our condolences to you and your family members.
Terry and Darlene( McAllister) Pollock

Ken & Brenda, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. I worked with Velma in Finance. She always had to take a moment to put her lips on before Herb picked her up. Also spent many years sharing countless ballgames where she enjoyed every minute watching her grandchildren. Velma was a lovely lady & always greeted you with a beautiful smile. So sorry for your loss

Dear Ken & Brenda, so very sorry to hear of Velma's death. I worked very closely with her at City Hall and we always had lots of laughs and good times together. Even after we both retired we would meet at the grocery store and have great chats. She would always talk about her beautiful children and of course dancing too. She was a great lady. Although I didn't know your Dad , I often saw him with her so also very sorry that you would loose him first and then Velma. May all the great memories you have of your Mom and Dad console you during this time and be assured of my prayers. Joanie (Arseneau) Marks

I had the pleasure of spending lots of time with them at the ball field. Honestly the absolute sweetest people on the planet. I could always count on a positive pat on the back regardless of how we played.
Sending lots of love and positive vibes to the whole family. I definitely smile when I think of Velma cheering us on :)

What a wonderful life your parents lived. We remember them at every game of baseball Michael ever played. If ever there we’re proud grandparents , they sure filled the bill. Velma always kept a score card and was definitely the most dedicated fan. Always so warm and friendly she was a joy to be around. Our son Curt played ball a few years with Mike growing up and we enjoyed watching the boys. God bless you all in this hard time. We’re sure you have so many wonderful memories to reflect on. They are the treasures left behind. Sincere condolences to all.

Sincere sympathy in the passing of your parents.
Your Mom and Dad lived a true love story. I worked with Velma at City Hall and would meet her in the stores once she retired. They were always long conversations while your Dad waited in the car.
A great lady, you'll miss her.

Two of the finest people I have ever met !
It is so fitting that they left this world together, and moved on to a better place.
I am sure Velma will be creating new ideas for Herb to go along with.
My thoughts and prayers are with Brenda, Ken and the family
