Obituary of Mary Therese Barry

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved sister, Mary Therèse Barry. Mary had a cardiopulminary event and slipped away peacefully at home April 4, 2022.

Predeceased by her father Kevin Barry, left to cherish her memory are her beloved partner Albert Jonkman, her children: Barry, Blaise and Anna, her mother Kathleen Barry, and her sisters: Estelle (Paul), Clare (John) Ann Marie (Charlie), Elizabeth (Derrick) Jane (Steve) and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, almost too many to count.

Mary was a multi-talented beautiful person, with an adventurous spirit that kept things interesting for her family and friends. Driving with Mary could be an unforgettable experience! Mary loved children, dogs, and long walks in nature. She was a natural athlete; gifted singer and she had the soul of an artist. Mary could recreate on paper anything she saw. Mary had a kind and loving heart, she will be remembered with love, and deeply missed.

 There will be no visitation and a private family Memorial Service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Mary’s memory to the, The Gathering Place your local food bank or the SPCA.
