So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing She was my husbands 1st cousin. I only had the pleasure of meeting her a couple of times when she was working at the Regional. When I was talking to Darlene, I found out that she had many beautiful trips and fun adventures in her later years. She had a beautiful soul. Thinking of Darlene, Tara and her family at this sad time.

I have known Shirley for 5 years. I first met her at the Manor, where my daughter was also a resident.
Shirley was just across the hall 2 doors down. Whenever she would see me she would let me know how things were going.
I thought the world of Shirley..She was such a Kind and Caring Lady with a Big ❤
She could also be very Bossy , and never held back what she was thinking! To know her was to Love her
She sure could make you laugh!!
The last two times I saw Shirley, she said she was not feeling well and didnt wanted Live anymore.
She was ready and wanted to go home with her Heavenly Father!
She had great Faith in God!!
I am so glad to have known this Beautiful Lady!!
She will be missed by all that knew her!

We know the last few years have been difficult for Shirley, and during our visits she would always express a desire to “move on” and yearned to be called home to Heaven and be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She truly had this hope because several years ago she placed her personal Faith and Trust in Christ for Salvation from her sins. We loved you in the Lord, and will miss your teasing, and talk of cats and cookies!
AFRAID?
Why should I be afraid”.
It is not death to die.
‘Tis but a step to Glory.
And a mansion in the sky!
How can I be afraid?
The Lord is with me still.
And loves me as He did that day
He died upon the hill.
Afraid? Of what? No night’s so dark
It can His Glory dim!
Afraid? Oh no! Though Jordan roar
I cross—-Dry shod—-WITH HIM!
WE KNOW WE WILL SEE YOU ONE DAY SOON,
Love & Fond Memories,
Richard & Heather Wallace

My deepest sympathy to Shirley's loved ones. I have fond memories of Shirley and her brother from our Sunday School days at the Church of the Good Shepherd so long ago. Always smiling, always sweet. Seeing her picture again brought a smile to my face. May she rest in His peace.

I was so sorry to read of Shirley's passing. I remember her from years ago on the Westside. A few years ago we reconnected when my mother in law became a resident at Kennebec Manor. I always enjoyed chatting with Shirley. She was always smiling and so happy. She always asked what I had baked that day for my boys and when was I going to bake her some cookies!! My condolences on her passing. Rest easy Shirley!
