Ian and family, I worked many years with your Dad at WRC. He was a great guy, always kind and friendly. He will be missed. We had many discussions about South Oromocto Lake. We both love it there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Barb and family , McFarlane Family,
Bill had such a huge presence, everytime we would run into each other that big smile would either be asking about his little friend (our mom) or smiling down to her, as she is a mere 4ft8in's. Our family and the McFarlane family have been long time friends. Our wish for you and the family that all the years of memories help to heal your broken hearts . Our sympathies Georgie Oliver Godin and Darlene Oliver

We were saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. These last years were a long journey but
he had the ultimate spouse/nurse/warrior by his side every step of the way. Your
dedication to that journey Barb was awe inspiring and Bill knew that. He will be missed.

I’m happy to have the memories I have with the man whom I travelled across Canada with in 1976, the best man in my wedding in 1980 and countless fishing trips, mostly to Loch Alva and East Branch. I will miss the deep conversations of Bill’s thoughts on life and a caring for all. I’m a very lucky man to have had him as a good friend, love you always.

Barb and all the McFarlane Families,
So very sorry to hear of your loss of Bill. So many childhood memories and also so nice to speak with him at our food truck. My mom loved him very much and so wish they would have gotten to go fishing. He will never be forgotten as such a kind gentle person. Our hearts go out to you all.

I am so sad to hear of my cousin’s passing. Bill’s father (Ralph) and my mother (Alma) were brother and sister.
I remember all the McFarlane boys as kids, when we would occasionally get together in P.E.I. for fishing, beaching..wonderful memories.
We drifted apart as adults, but would run into each other at funerals…and they all struck me as kind and wonderful men.
To Bill’s family, my very deepest sympathies.

Such an amazing man. He always made me feel welcome and like family. He made me feel like a little sister, not sure how, but thats how I always felt when he hugged me. Barb, he was a man blessed with true love, and because of you and his 3 sons he lived a full life that most of us just dream of. I will not send condolences because you do not need consoling, you too were blessed and he will continue to travel your journey with you. Love you girl.

How do I summarize in a few words all Bill means to us? He was a huge part of our family! He loved our kids and helped teach and guide them. They all thought of him as Uncle Billy. His friendship to Stephen and I has been invaluable. We love him and shed tears with you. We will walk the path of grief and remembrance with each of you because we consider you family too.
May God grant us His mercy and grace as we mourn and as we celebrate the life of The one and only Bill McFarlane!
