Doris! What can I say? The world has lost a gem of a human being,, but heaven has gained an angel.. I have great memories of visits to "the old schoolhouse" in Long Reach in the 80's.. Doris was one of the first music teachers I met when we moved to New Brunswick. I was immediately drawn to her warmth and kindness. I don't know how many years she taught music in the schools, but I do know that her students adored her. When I was a single parent, she invited me and the boys to eat Christmas dinner with her family. Doris had amazing patience and a keen sense of humor. Who can forget that laugh? R.I.P., friend. "Ma" will be sorely missed and remembered fondly. Always quick with a joke, or loving advice and always had an open door from any storm and I mean that literally and figuratively. She was family! She met my mother through me and my travels and tribulations and became "Ma", my second mother, giving them a bond and a friendship they kept secret from me for years. They had a good chuckle over that. I'll always miss you Ma.

Doris was one of the sweetest people that I have ever met and she will be greatly missed. Music always made a big impact in Doris' life and I was so greatful to be told I had given such a message by my Solo's. Last time I saw Doris was a couple of Christmas' ago when Callie Cobham, Wendy Greer, Mary Ellen and I went to sing Christmas carols at her house. She loved to have visiters and would always light up with that great smile. She was such a blessing to me and I will greatly miss her.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the immediate family and all the generations mentioned.

We will miss seeing and talking to "Nanny" at the Nunn-Greer family gatherings. She was a very special lady who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so much. And they loved her. She was a fine example of a Christian lady who loved her Lord, her Church and her community.
We will be thinking of you all as you mourn her passing knowing she has reached her heavenly reward. May your memories bring you comfort in the coming days.
