Mert & family...so sorry to hear about Ruth and know you will be missing her terribly. My memory picture of Ruth will always be sitting beside you, Mert, on that short dressing room bench at Harbour Station putting skates on and laughing at and obviously enjoying "you being you"... Thinking of you, Colby & Nancy

Dear Diane, Alex and Adam, It was with much sadness that I learned of the loss of your dear Mom and Grandmother. It has been many years since those days of pick ups and drop offs with the boys but I remember well the pleasure of seeing Ruth at the front door on so many occasions during those times. What a wonderful grandmother and a great example to us all as she was always ready with a cheerful wave goodbye or a happy smile on the welcome home. You will have so many wonderful memories from all the holidays and happy family times spent together. How fortunate she was to have been so loved. We will be thinking of you all with deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Suzanne

Dear Diane and family. My deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a true lady. Always gracious even under pressure and calm. I don't think I ever saw her rattled or if she was she never showed it. I know she was a great support to you over the years Diane. I know she will be missed.

Wonderful childhood memories of Aunt Ruth were enhanced with the adult experience of skating with her at Harbour Station. She was a beautiful skater to watch. Not so enjoyable, was skating arm-in-arm with her, due to my abilities being so beneath hers, and my size being so much beyond petite Ruth. I skated in fear of crushing Aunt Ruth should I fall. She just laughed at this big galoot's fears and kept me skating until she was ready to stop. It was always a joy to run into her. She will be missed and remembered.

Ruth was always so pleasant whenever you met her at the store or out. After my Mom (RuthTaylor) passed , I met Ruth and she said how on her birthday, my Mom was always the very first call she would receive on her Birthday calling her with birthday wishes. I laughed as I remember my Mom calling me into her bedroom really early one morning, she was too sick to go to the phone, I had to dial a number, Mom had memorized and hand her the phone. It was Ruth’s birthday. It was the last birthday call my mother made. I didn’t know until then that call meant so much to Ruth. She said my Mom never missed her birthday and would tell stories for she was little and my mom babysat her. Stories of my grandmother, Sadie Nice and Edna Adams being cousins and the things they got up to. Always a laugh! It meant a lot to my mother to have a baby named after her.....it also meant a lot to Ruth that my Mom called her whole life on her birthday.
