It is with sadness the family of Malcolm "Fitz" George Fitzgerald announce his passing on November 20th, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was the loving and devoted husband to Patricia (Hucul) Fitzgerald for 53 years. Malcolm was born on April 25th, 1938 to the late George and Dorothea “Dot” (Draper) Fitzgerald in Saint John, NB. Malcolm was a true West Sider, he was born and raised in Fairville until he joined the Royal Canadian Navy at 17. Malcolm reached Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Canadian Navy and was a proud servant for 28 years. Malcolm was kind, generous and caring. He was a true people person; an epitome of a “hail-fellow-well-met.” Malcolm was a world traveller during his time spent in the Navy. In his later years he preferred to spend time surrounded by his family; especially his grandchildren, he loved them more than anything. He was a true family man.
