Cathy, Rick, Katie and Wade: Memories are the are the most wonderful thing to have in times if great loss. Beautiful memories of time spent and shared. My favourite memory of your dad is the toothbrush story and he never let me forget it. Every time he saw me his first words to me were. Come on in and brush your teeth Kath. Love you Cathy my sister by heart.

Horace was well liked by all who knew him..I got to know him only the last few years as I would see and talk with him at the Kirk..He loved my music and the teasing I did to him about the women at the Kirk...He will be missed...May he R.I.P.

Cathy ,Rick & Family It is with heavy hearts to have heard of Horace passing. Remembering the many times we spent together with both Mae and Horace, the dances at the legion and other places, evenings together at their house or ours, the places we went and all the things we did together the cruise to the Western Carribean, having both stand with us at our wedding held at the Church of Good Shepherd. There is much to remember and even more to appreciate and be Thankful for. We have been missing Mae for several years and have already started to miss the Buddy Horace. May your souls be forever entwined in love Jerry & Dawn

Sweet Horace-your smile lit up the room and you always had a beautiful smile for me each time I saw you. Bringing you chocolate bars and candy became the beginning of a special bond with us. I may not have known the Horace of years ago but I feel so blessed to have met you in your later years at Carleton Lodge. Until we meet again,Thank you for your smile and beautiful spirit.

Cathy and Family I am so sorry for your loss. From a young age Horace Meating was a well known name in our house. My Dad worked with him at NBTel and in later years I played in the 3 Fld Regiment Band and St. Mary's Band with him. One of my fondest memories of Horace from is from the past few years. I was playing a concert with St. Mary's Band and while scanning the crowd, there was Horace with Cathy, proudly wearing his SMB Sweater! RIP Horace, you will be missed.

Horace was responsible for keeping me in the 3rd Field Band. He always made sure I had a way to get to rehearsal nights. Many a great conversation while cruising in his "K" Car. When I took over as Director of music for "The Saints" Big Band he couldn't wait to sit in the Trombone Section, under on condition. I had to cover his part if Mae wanted to dance. He had an infectious laugh and an extremely proud man! He was so proud when the 3rd Field Band would play at his church. He would always talk about it for weeks afterwards. I have great memories of going to visit He and Mae at the trailer. Horace would let everyone around know that his trombone playing friend was there for a visit! Very fond Memories!

Ricky and Cathy, so sorry for your loss, I have memories of your dad giving me wire from the NB Tel van so I could re wire the house laughing with my dad, at my determination to do it. Part of the reason I’m an electrician now is because of your Dad. Love from me and my family to both of you, and your families.
