Obituary of George Milton Connor
The family of George Milton Connor wish to announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 13th, 2019. George was born in Saint John, NB on July 27th, 1940 and was the son of the late Reginald James and Dorothy Gertrude (Jennings) Connor. George was a floral designer at Lancaster Florists for 42 years. He was active in Boy Scouts earning the Queens Scout Award and fulfilled leadership roles at the troop, district and provincial levels. He was an active member of St. Jude’s Anglican Church as a lay-reader, choir member and vestry member. He is survived by his brother; Frank (Dorothy) Connor of Riverview, NB, and sister in law; Sandra Connor of Saint John, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. George is pre-deceased by his wife; Karyn Connor (VanWart), brother; Thomas H. Connor, sisters; Marlene Connor, Anne “Nan” Booth, brother in law; Bill Booth. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, (506) 634-1701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 11:00 AM from Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel with a reception to follow at Castle. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
