Obituary of Leslie Elizabeth Burgess

Leslie Elizabeth (Stackhouse) Burgess, 64, of Saint John, passed away peacefully July 3, 2020. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Ronald; three children, Jay, Terra, and Lindsey; five grandchildren, Bradley, Cassandra, Catherine, Canfield and Flynn; mother Josephine; sister Greer; brothers, Hank and Eric. Leslie is predeceased by her father James and brother Jay. Leslie found her calling in teaching and was able to share that passion with students, teachers and parents alike, until she retired from Morna Heights Elementary. Leslie had a love of art and gardening which can be seen at her home, as well as her summer sanctuary in Wallace N.S. Leslie touched so many hearts throughout her life and will be best remembered for her kindness, patience, warmth, and sense of humor. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. At Leslie's request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
