Obituary of Ruth Elizabeth Collins
It is with great sadness the family of Ruth Elizabeth Collins, widow of the late Perley A. Collins wish to announce her passing on January 3, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, Ruth was the daughter of the late Harold J. Clark, and Gretchen D. (Meyers) Clark. Ruth was a graduate of Saint John High School and Modern Business College before she became a Dance Teacher and formed the Ruth Foster Dance School where she was active for over 30 years. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her first husband W.Mayes Foster in 1979, and her second Husband Perley A. Collins in 2014. She is survived by a cousin Ted Yeomans, and his family, of Ottawa, Ontario, brother-in-laws, Lloyd Foster, Carl Foster, and Stanley Collins and his wife Rene, sister-in-laws, Nerea Moore, Shirley Shelley, Lois Lemmon, RoseMarie Foster, Doris Foster, and many nieces and nephews. Thank you to the Rte. Reverend George Lemmon for his friendship and kindness to Ruth over the years. Special Thanks to the Staff at Serenity Cove Special Care Nursing Home, the Staff of 3CN at the S.J.R.H., Dr. Elizabeth Keyes, and Catherine and Carly for their extra kindness. At Ruth’s request there will be no visitation. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 1:00pm at Castle Funeral Home “Fallsview” Chapel with Rev. Malcolm Beckett officiating. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext Cemetery following the service. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
