To the family of Ruth Collins, we met Ruth when she was a roommate of my mom Doreen at St. Joseph's Hospital summer 2017. Mom and Ruth were like two little school girls, laughing and sneaking down the hall together. My mom gave Ruth a ride on her walker, pushing Ruth down the hall. They both got into trouble. They talked about taking turns living at one another's house and made plans to escape. They acted as if they had been friends for years! It blessed our hearts to watch the two of them. Ruth touched our hearts as well. She was such a lady and a sweetheart. A couple of us were able to visit her once at Serenity Cove. We will always remember her sweet smile. We are just now learning of her passing and so very sorry that we had missed her Celebration of Life. She will be missed. Even in her remaining months, she made an impact on some strangers lives. We will be forever grateful that we were able to meet this special lady.
