Obituary of Wayne Douglas LeBlanc
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Douglas LeBlanc announce his unexpected passing at home on Friday, August 9, 2019 in Saint John. Wayne was born on August 13th, 1958 in Saint John, NB to the late Leo and Eleanor (Craft) LeBlanc. He was a life-long Westsider. Wayne worked in the Health care industry from the age of 18 as a Porter, and recently retired from his 36 year career with the Saint John Regional Hospital. He loved going for walks almost everyday; from Lancaster Street (where he resided) to work or up to the Pumpkin Patch. Wayne was also interested in sports, he liked following the Stats of all the teams, especially in hockey; the Chicago Black Hawks were his favorite. However, many who knew Wayne, were also aware of his strong dislike of any fellow Boston sports team. Wayne also loved music, dancing and was an avid reader. Wayne will be dearly missed by his siblings Joel LeBlanc, Pamela LeBlanc, Gwen (Steven) Breen, Krista LeBlanc (Jeff McKay) and Debby (John) Stackhouse, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 1:00PM in Castle "Fallsview" Chapel. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Wayne can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Charity of the donor’s choice.
