My condolences to Elizabeth’s family, she will be missed by many. She was a lovely lady and such a good nurse. During my training at the SJGH she was my favourite head nurse, when I finished training she was my first head nurse as a registered nurse for one year before I moved to Ontario. A few years after I moved home a chance meeting with Elizabeth on an elevator she told me she was director of nursing at the new Carleton Kirk Lodge, it wasn’t long before I was working at CKL, such a joy to be working for her again. Rest In Peace, Elizabeth.

I remember Elizabeth from "way back when". My family was very friendly with the Beatteays, fellow members of "The Kirk" in West Saint John. Elizabeth was a lovely person, friendly, helpful, good-natured, with a sense of humour. She will be missed by many.

We were shocked to learn of Elizabeth's passing. She just called on Tuesday and sounded very upbeat. Such a beautiful human being. It was Margaruite who welcomed me into the Westside Kirk and when they needed a plumber, Paul was right there. Elizabeth is truly among the angels!

"Miss Beatteay" or "Bizz" as she was known in the nursing world to students and grads alike. A great lady and a wonderful head nurse for many years .I was of the class on 1960 [60 years out this year]. Miss Beatteay was gentle ,kind ,patient & always there to be your friend. As student nurses we were expected to "measure up" ,sometimes that did not happen and we found that Miss Beatteay wanted to help. It was always a good posting to be on her floor. Your rest is well earned...………….you were one of the best.
