Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Beatteay

Elizabeth Ann Beatteay passed away peacefully on June 11, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1935 in Saint John, NB to the late Clarence Beverley and Irene Marguerite (Barrett) Beatteay.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing in 1956, she worked at the General and Regional Hospital. Elizabeth also felt honored and privileged to be the 1st Director of Nursing at the Carleton Kirk Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, reading, animals and nature.

Elizabeth is survived by her nephew Martin (Laura), niece Katherine Ann, great niece Kristin and dear friend Marjorie (Ken) Milner. Elizabeth is predeceased her parents and sister Beryl Beverly Biefer (Gregory James) of Ottawa, Ontario.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Memorial Service will be held from Carleton Kirk United Church on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
