To all of Eleanor's children (treasures), Family and Friends...I was unaware of Eleanor's passing until a day or so after the funeral. I became aware that she was at Bobby's House the week she passed away and was so sorry that I was not aware of her declining health so that I could have dropped in to visit. I DID have a chance to meet up with and express my sympathy to Maureen but sadly missed her Funeral Mass. Eleanor was a wonderful neighbour, friend, and fellow parishioner and she wore "Joy" like it was "haute couture"! Loved by many...admired by all...a great loss to our community. Sincere condolences. (I realize we are late sending this condolence message but wanted each of you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers and Eleanor too.)

We were saddened to learn of Eleanor's passing. She was a wonderful friend to my mother-in-law, Rose Forestell, and my husband, Stephen, and I had the pleasure of speaking with her on almost every trip we made to Saint John when visiting Rose. I can clearly recall the fun times we all had one summer when she spent time with Rose and Rita at Rose's cottage on Lake Barron in the Laurentians (Quebec). She was a lovely lady, a great friend, and incredibly proud of her wonderful family. Our sincerest condolences to you all and may the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.

Margo and families, so sorry to hear about your Mom, grandmother, sister and aunt. Hopefully we’ll all live a life that will leave behind a fraction of the legacy and memories Eleanor has left for so many. I smile when I think of her on the Turkey Trot to Bangor over the years and no one was going to be line-jumping her in the duty free shop! She’d have everyone laughing in those long lines! May the gifts of memories she’s left behind for you and your families be opened whenever you need a smile. Xoxo Deb

Dear Maureen please accept my sincere condolences. I know how close you were with your mother, but she is with the Lord where there is no more pain, only joy. I only knew her through your speaking of her at choir practices. I still have an ageing mum who is 97 and 3000 miles away. It's difficult at Christmas, but trust in Jesus. Marje

So sad to hear of your Mom's passing. I will always remember the energetic lady who made cookies for the Bonner Place kids, the hair cuts and being the fourth girl to have her hair braided. The many camping trips to Pleasant Lake and Hammond St with the Beckwiths, McKiels, and Greens; good times! We witnessed many conversations over a cup of tea with Mom (Maura) and Ellie. I'm sure Mom was waiting next to Beck, with open arms, to receive your Mom.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved mother, Eleanor (Sito). My deepest condolences to the entire family. Marty, I remember your mother from a very young age when we used to listen to music and watch the light show in your basement in what was the origins of what would become Northern Lights and Sound. Eleanor was always a great conversationalist with a huge hospitable heart and always smiling. She adored all of her children and had a special place in her heart for each of you. May the memories console and keep you at this difficult time.
