Obituary of John Wayne Randall

It is with great sadness the family of John ”Jake” Wayne Randall wish to announce his passing on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John in 1951, John was a son of the late Vernon Lynwood Randall and Catherine Margaret (Tooke) Randall. John was a ship chandler with Bluewater Agencies Ltd. until his retirement a few years ago. He was president of the Fundy Fastball League, and coached the B.J. Savoie’s team. He was a member of the City and District 8 Ball League. He was an avid player of pool, darts, and shuffleboard. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching hockey and baseball games with his friends. John is survived by his beloved daughter, Jana (Curtis) Nicol, of Public Landing ,N.B., grandson, Liam Nicol, brother, Michael Dale Randall (Sandra), of Kitchener, Ontario, 5 sisters, Madelon Gillespie, of Harvey, N.B., Marian MacDonald, of Bellville, Ontario, Wanda Belyea, of Saint John, N.B., MaryEllen Christie, of Harvey, N.B., Valerie Dearman, of Oromocto, N.B., sister-in law, Judith Randall, of Saint John, N.B., special companion, Valerie Doucet, of Saint John, N.B., and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Lynwood Randall, James Herbert Randall, and Cyril Randall. Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) has been entrusted with the arrangements. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Due to Covid -19 restrictions please wear a mask. A private memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 10:00AM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery following the service.
