Sincere Condolences to Anita and the family. I knew Galen for 40 years, he would come to Blackville with Bruce Waugh when I was a teenager. We then worked together at Sweetwaters in Fredericton. He was like a big brother. He was always kind and proud of me and my accomplishments as a fellow Miramichier. As he grew ill, we visited many times and talked openly about life and love and the meaning of it all. His bravest moments were just before he passed. Never to be forgotten. Love u brother.

Dear Anita, sending you my warmest condolences. Galen was a great man and loved you dearly. I have only the best memories of living it up with him. He did things his way and marched to the beat of his own drum. Every encounter with him had a positive vibe. He was tall in stature and bigger in spirit. To Anita and Family and Friends of Galen , I offer my deepest sympathy and will pray for the strong comfort of soul to be directed in your hearts. I met Galen years ago through my best Friend George. Everytime Galen would come to Florida George and me would go visit Him in Boca Raton, He would bring us boating and then we would go and eat and share the beauty of life. The best way I can describe it is an adventure with lots of fun. Galen always treated my with kindness and was like a brother to me. We disagreed with politics but loved each other with respect. We also went to car shows, sometimes we would even go have a couple of cold beers in a nearby club and listen to music. I also had a wonderful time bringing Galens Corvette from Florida to New Brunswick. My memories of Galen are alive and well and I always remember Him for his outstanding and special continued friendship. Dear Brother Galen you will be missed tremendously and all I can say is I am sure the good Lord will give you an eternal reward for giving me and many others the gift of generosity and Love. God bless all of your relatives and close Family members with Love, respect and hope. Your eternal friend Robert

Galen was a wonderful friend to so many people. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him. I visited him a few times while he was in SJRH & we had some good talks. Galen was a great guy with a good heart. I would often visit his condo here in Boca Raton where his generosity was always being practiced. Obviously we lifted a few beers together during those days. I remember that we shopped for tropical fish together for his huge fish tank. He was really happy to have those fish. I remember his big smile and fun loving attitude in life. Knowing that he had faith in the person and work of Jesus assures me that we will see each other again in glory. Goodbye for now, old friend. Jim Santucci

I was a frequent customer of BDP when I lived in the neighbourhood years ago. Galen was always so nice and friendly, and made the best pie. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, but what a wonderful legacy he leaves. Condolences Anita, rest well Galen.

I am very saddened by the news, I had met Galen through Anita and other common friend's.I remember his love for life, loved being around friends and the great love of his life, Anita. Galen loved hosting people. I especially enjoyed watching him around my grandchildren, such a big guy Galen was and so delicate around the little one's. Rest in peace and free of pain..

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Galen. He fought a brave fight and he has now won. His suffering is now over. He will join his family and loved ones and what a reunion that will be. Galen had a big heart and would do anything for anyone if it was at all possible for him to do so. He loved his nieces and nephews and was so good to them. If you were ever in Saint John, he would always want you to stop by "Bid Daddy's Pizza" (his pride and joy) and have some pizza, a great treat that was always compliments of Galen himself. I was glad to get down to the Regional to visit him this summer and although, his health was not good, he was always so happy to see everyone who stopped by, you always left feeling so good that you took the time to go visit with him. RIP Galen, Kimmy was probably the first one to greet you. love you

Galen Was much more to me than a first cousin, He was a friend could’ve been a brother at times could’ve been a son but at all times a friend. He would come to visit me when I lived in Edmonton Alberta, as did he at one time and normally once a week or so he would come for dinner and we would play crib but inevitably he always insisted that I have a new big word he called it that hadn’t heard i before And we had a lot of fun with that. I have a few words that describe my friend without any explanation required : Perseverance , Tenacity, Fortitude and dauntlessness . To say that he will be missed as an understatement. RIP buddy .
