Obituary of Peter Bertram George Rooney

It is with heavy hearts the family of Peter Bertram George Rooney announce his unexpected passing on December 24, 2024. Born October 1,1967 in Saint John, NB to Paul Rooney and the late Jacqueline Rooney.

Peter was a true outdoorsman. He loved being in the woods hunting or on the water fishing while spending time with friends, especially at his camp. Peter loved to cook and had an exceptional green thumb.

Predeceased by his mother Jacqueline Rooney; Peter leaves behind his daughters Katelyn (Brian) Rooney of Kingston, Ontario and Ashley (Alex) Rooney of Fredericton, N.B., his father Paul Rooney and brother Christopher (Nancy) Rooney, both of Grand Bay-Westfield and sister Cathleen (Greg) Cromwell of Darlings Island; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends.

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701).  As per Peter's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visiting or funeral service at this time. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at a later date.
