Obituary of Elva Joan Waycott
It is with great sadness that the family of Elva Joan Waycott announce her passing, which occurred at her home surrounded by her family on October 29th, 2024.
Born October 12th, 1941, to Adelbert (Del) and Ethel (Corscadden) Trynor.
Elva loved the Lord Jesus and very much had a servant heart. She loved her family deeply and served them well as a loving wife, wonderful mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Elva was a lifelong member of Trinity Anglican Church in the Parish of Musquash, where she served many years as ACW President, Vestry Clerk, choir member and Treasurer.
She held the position of President of the Fundy Bay Seniors (now 50 Plus Club) for a number of years and was instrumental in the development of the building’s expansion.
Before losing her sight, she loved to bake, play cards and watch her Toronto Blue Jays, which she continued to listen to right up to the end.
Elva leaves behind her husband of 62.5 years Richard Waycott, their children Karen Bent (David), Melissa Waycott, Kathy Abbott (Jeff) and Kevin Waycott (Lori) all of Maces Bay. Grandchildren, who were her hearts delight, Jennifer, Michelle, Justin, Geoffrey, Kara, Sydney, Tyler, Holly and 12 Great grandchildren.
Her sister Sharon McAllister, her brother Jim Trynor (Colleen) and cherished cousin Claire Hainer (Ed). Along with her parents, she was predeceased by grandson Gregory Waycott, brother Vance Trynor and sister June Fowler.
The arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, Saint John. As per Elva’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 11:00am followed by interment in Maces Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Maces Bay Cemetery or the 50 Plus Club in Maces Bay.
