Obituary of Joyce Marie Baldwin

“God has added one more angel to his choir.”  It is with broken hearts our family announce the passing of Joyce Marie (Foster) Baldwin on Monday October 14, 2024, at Shannex Tucker Hall with her family by her side. Born on Grand Manan, in 1929, Joyce was a daughter of the late Merton L. Foster and Ruth Elizabeth (Tate) Foster, and widow of William “Bill” Henry Baldwin.

Joyce is survived, two daughters; Debbie (Harold) Palmer, of Saint John, and Wanda (Wayne) Woodward, of Kingston, two sons; Robin (Brenda) Baldwin, of St. George, and Tim (Kathy) Baldwin, of Smith’s Corner, five grandchildren, Erin (Josh Tracey) Palmer, Robie (Leah) Baldwin, Nicholas (Tory Hamilton) Palmer, Joshua (Jenna) Baldwin, and Jacob (Jenny) Baldwin, 15 great grandchildren, Gus, Theo, Fayla, Rosy, Henrik, Lilly, Izzy, Ralph, Matthais, Eli, Ezra, Julia, Peter, Aria, Ava, three sisters; Joan (Earl) Shaw, of St. George, Esther (Bruce) Smythe, of St. George, and Charlene (Daigle), of Black’s Harbour, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Merton Foster and Ruth Elizabeth (Tate) Foster, Her husband; William “Bill” Henry Baldwin (1990), two brothers; Lowell and Philip Foster, three sisters; Elaine Cantley, Eleanor Nelson, Dorothy Spear, and two infant siblings.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). A PRIVATE FAMILY Celebration of life will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place in Maple Grave Cemetery, Grand Manan. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Canadian Red Cross or Saint John SPCA.
