Obituary of Debra Sue Allaby
Sue passed away peacefully on October 4 2024 in her sleep after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on July 19 1963 in Montreal Quebec. She was predeceased by her parents Marion and Philip Allaby.
Sue leaves behind her long-time love Steve Clarke, her sister Kim (Chris), brother Tim, nieces Madalynn and Cassandra and many close friends.
When Sue wasn’t working for Xerox, she could be found taking her daily walk, spending time with family, friends and her beloved cats Dawson and Chase. Sue loved summer and spent much of her time at Bay Shore Beach with her beach friends as she called them. She loved gardening and growing thousands of peppers and tomatoes every summer.
Sue enjoyed playing on the Royal Ladies Softball team and City District 8 Ball, and she also had a black belt in karate.
Sue’s family would like to thank everyone involved in her care, the doctors, nurses, and dietary of 5AS. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Farah Naz for giving us the much-needed time with her.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB 506-634-1701. Keeping with Sue’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
