Obituary of Roy Daniel McLaughlin
It is with great sadness the family of Roy McLaughlin announces his passing at Rocmaura Nursing Home on September 17th 2024. Born on September 28th 1928, to the late Daniel and Pansy (Mealey) McLaughlin.
Roy was survived by one son; Daniel McLaughlin, daughter; Valerie McNichol, daughter; Julie Rioux, son-in-law; Donnie Rioux and daughter; Colleen McLaughlin. Grand children; Jennifer McNichol, Jeff (Manon) McLaughlin, Christina Craft, Travis Craft.
Roy was predeceased by his wife; Mae McLaughlin, grandson; Stephen Craft, son-in-law; Murray McNichol, brothers; Murray McLaughlin, Donnie McLaughlin, Roger McLaughlin and his wife; Marjorie, sisters; Bev Oagles and her husband Jimmy, Pauline Girouard and her husband Roy. Nephews; Art Morris and Gary Girouard and niece Sharon Hatfield.
Roy worked at CPR Truckers for many years. He was a life long westsider and shot pool up into his 80's with his brother Murray. He loved the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, celebrating St Patrick’s Day and his dog Rex.

The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue Saint John, telephone 506 634 1701. A visitation will take place at Castle Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at 9:30am to 10:30am. A celebration of Roy’s life will take place at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel on Saturday September 21 st 2024, at 10:30am. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. A reception will be held at Castle Funeral Home following the Interment. Donations to Rocmaura Foundation or charity of donor’s choice will be appreciated by the family.
