Obituary of Douglas Arnold Ewart
It is with broken hearts the family of Douglas Arnold Ewart announce his unexpected passing on Sunday September 15, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born on August 12th, 1945 in Waterborough Youngs Cove, N.B., Doug was a son of the late William Ewart and Bertha Provelia (nee Wiggins ) Ewart . He was the beloved husband of Linda Ann (Downey) Ewart.
Doug retired from the Kmart (Zellers) were he worked for his entire career. He was so proud of the accomplishments he made at the store. He took great pride in keeping everything organized. If anyone needed to find something in the store, Doug knew exactly where it was. Besides the extreme love he had for Linda, his children and grandchildren, Doug loved planes and trains. Every Christmas, he would spend hours setting up train tracks and had to show them off to whomever visited.
Douglas is survived by his wife; Linda, one son; Steven (Kristi) Ewart. of Rusagonis, two daughters; Susan (Daniel) Broderick, of Quispamsis, Christine (David) Ewart, of Calgary, four grandchildren; Kyle and Olivia Broderick, Connor Green, and Hillary Ewart, one sister: Nancy (Jack) Steele, of Saint John, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
