Obituary of Dorina Mary LeBlanc

It is with broken hearts the family of Dorina Mary LeBlanc wish to announce her passing on Wednesday August 14, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Saint John, on November 4, 1940, Dorina was a daughter of the late Azor Joseph Babineau and Alma Marie (Landry) Babineau, and the beloved wife of the late Leo Paul LeBlanc.

Dorina is survived by her two sons; Ron (Judy Palmer) LeBlanc, Dan (Paula Stoddard) LeBlanc, both of Saint John, one daughter; Giselle (Kevin) Watson, of Saint John, eight grandchildren; Shawn (Katara) LeBlanc, of Saint John, Alisha (Collin) Grasse, of Saint John, Gerry (Paige) LeBlanc, of Grand Bay, Chris (Lindsay Carragher) LeBlanc, of Saint John, Trevor (Danielle) Watson, of Saint John, Jonathon LeBlanc, of Saint John, Kyle (Brandy) Watson, of Riverview, Danielle LeBlanc, of Saint John, seven great grandchildren; Maddy Grasse, Max LeBlanc, Tiernan Grasse, Oliver Watson, Eli Watson, Harper Watson, and Emmett LeBlanc, four sisters; Rita Vautour, Doris (Emery) LeBlanc, Lorraine (Harold) Stears, Jeannette (Yvon) LeBlanc, and daughter- in- law; Helen LeBlanc, several nieces, and nephews, and cousins.

Dorina was predeceased by her parents, Azor and Alma (Landry) Babineau, her beloved husband; Leo Paul LeBlanc, her son Gerald, her half brother; Edward Doiron, and brother-in-law Eric Vautour.

She enjoyed shopping, dancing, reading, going to the movies, and time spent with family and friends at Tim Hortons. She was a very giving person who loved to donate to many charities such as operation shoeboxes and sponsoring children overseas. She was an active member of the 30 up club.

The family wish to thank the staff at the 3DS and Palliative Care Units of the Saint John Regional Hospital for the special care they provided. Also, we would like to thank Parkland Saint John for going above and beyond with care in her short period of residency.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). A visitation will be held on Sunday August 18, 2024, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose of Lima) at 11:00AM. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held at Castle Funeral home. Donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
