Obituary of Dana Patrick Hennessey
With great sadness the family of Dana Patrick Hennessey announce his passing June 30th, 2024 at South Compass Health Center in Calgary, Alberta.
Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Dana grew up in West Saint John and graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1975 and moved to Calgary in 1980 where he co-owned a construction business with his best friend Dave Mason.
Dana was predeceased by his parents John Charles and Josephine Armel (McNeil) Hennessey.
Dana is survived by his brother John Hennessey (Brenda), sisters; Ellen Leblanc (Gordon), Dianne Allaby, Mary Shea (Paul), Jean Bland (Reg), Pam DeLay (Mike), Angela Hennessey, and many more nieces and nephews and other family members.
We would like to thank South Compass Health Center (Unit 66) for the outstanding care given to Dana and our family: McInnis and Holloway Funeral Home (Calgary) and to Fallsview Funeral Home.
Also, a special thank you to Msgr. Sheehan for his kindness and prayers extended to our family.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 23 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Bobby's Hospice or charity of choice.
