Obituary of Linda Cornfield
After a brief illness, Linda Ann (Patterson) Cornfield, aged 75, passed away peacefully at the Doctor Everett Chalmers hospital in Fredericton, NB, on June 18, 2024.
Linda was a hard worker who was employed for many years at Simms Brush Factory as well as at the egg farm in Clarendon, NB. She loved spending time outdoors, and in her thirties became an avid equestrienne. Linda also enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing Scrabble with her friends, and making doughnuts for fundraisers in Wirral.
Predeceased by her parents Wilson H. Patterson and Mary (Martin) Patterson, her husband of 34 years, Andrew Raymond Cornfield, and siblings Wilson (Sonny), Howard, Joy Duncan, Valerie Mellor, and Fay Jones.
Survived by daughters Angela Cornfield (Andrew Nash) and Carol Ann Cornfield, granddaughter Makenzie Oram, and by her partner Ralph Goodwin.
Special thanks to Dr. Aslam and ICU nurses Lauren, Haven, Sharon, and Kelly, who gave Linda such excellent and compassionate care at the end of her life.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM, a Graveside Service will follow immediately at 3:00 PM in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MS Canada or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
