Obituary of Vivian Beatrice Porter

Vivian Beatrice Porter passed away peacefully on February 9, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital while surrounded by family. Vivian was born on March 31, 1937, in Saint John, NB to the late Reginald and Gladys (Fisher) Cosman.

Vivian will be dearly missed by her son Robert McCarthy (Karen), daughters; Cathy Guthrie (Carl) and Angela Porter, brother Don Cosman, grandchildren; Neal, Carolyn, Marika and Riese, great grandchildren; Claire, Peyton and Zhenn, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Vivian is predeceased by her husband James Porter, and siblings, Douglas, and Phyllis.

Vivian grew up in Saint John, and moved to Marathon, Ontario with her husband. They enjoyed travelling all across Canada together. Vivian was a homebody, she loved spending time with her family and enjoyed knitting. 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John NB.  A Private Graveside Service will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
