Obituary of Patrick Louis Crilley

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Patrick Louis Crilley announce his passing on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Pat was the fourth son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Saunders) Crilley, born on December 16, 1948 in Saint John, NB.

Pat will be dearly missed by his daughter Deborah Erickson (Jonathan) of North Carolina, grandchildren; Grace Anne, Matthew, and Christopher Erickson of North Carolina, Deborah’s mother Angela Doucet of Beresford, brothers; Joseph, Frank (Colleen), and Victor (Linda) all of Saint John, twin sisters Dianne Tremblay (Paul) of Mississauga, ON and Debbie Craig of Quispamsis, sister-in-law Carol Crilley of Saint John, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents Pat is predeceased by his infant sister Mary Katherine Crilley, brother John Crilley, sister-in-law Flo Crilley, brother-in-law Ken Craig, and great niece Sadie Ann Crilley.

Pat spent his career working at Labatt Breweries and then Moosehead Breweries. After retirement Pat enjoyed spending time with his friends and playing in Crib Tournaments.

 He was an avid sports fan since childhood. At the age of 13 Pat would record all the sports stats in his Hilroy notebooks after each game and continued doing so to this day.  He loved the Toronto Maple Leafs, San Francisco Giants, and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A gathering for family and friends will be held at AJ’s West Saint John, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Pat memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
