Obituary of Reverend Kenneth Arthur Thomson
It is with appreciation for a long and well-lived life that the family of Kenneth Arthur Thomson, loving husband of Joyce Anne Thomson (Logan), announce his passing on October 15, 2023, two months past his 90th birthday.
Ken is survived by his sons Kevin Thomson (Sarah), and Scott Thomson (Colleen), and granddaughter Megan Thomson. Predeceased by his parents Arthur Smith Thomson and Hilda Rollo, and his son Erich Christ.
Ken was instrumental in the planning and development of the Carleton Kirk Complex in West Saint John. He was a long-time active member of the Kiwanis Club in Saint John and London Ontario. He was a Lieutenant Governor of the Eastern Canada and Caribbean District for Kiwanis. He was also the local president and then provincial president of the Victorian Order of Nurses.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Kennebec Manor for their exceptional care and compassion for Ken.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 19, at 2:00 PM at Carleton Kirk United Church.
