Obituary of Flossie May Thibodeau
With broken hearts, the family of Flossie May Thibodeau announce her peaceful passing at Bobby’s Hospice on July 29, 2023. Born in Saint John, NB on May 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Dorothy (nee McAleer) Ross.
Flossie is survived by her eight sons: David (Mary), Peter (Norma), George (Carilyn), Bernard (Judith), Robert (Jackie), Victor (Tammy), Walter (Andrea), and Raymond (Shelly); two daughters Janet and Doranne (Danny); 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren; sister Jean Anderson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Bernard F. Thibodeau, her father Peter, and brothers: Delbert, Victor, Clarence, and Larry.
Flossie was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her 10 grateful children and countless stragglers that showed up on her doorstep.
Resting at Castle Fallsview Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 (309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB) visitation for Flossie will be on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Service will direct follow in the Fallsview Chapel beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations be made in Flossie’s memory to Bobby’s Hospice.
