Obituary of Stephen John MacNeil

With heavy hearts, the family of Stephen John MacNeil announce his peaceful passing on May 18, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on July 12, 1948, in Sydney NS, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (née Mouland) MacNeil.

Stephen MacNeil, known for his light-hearted demeanor, was a loving father, devoted husband, dedicated employee, and great friend. With 40 years spent in the construction industry, and having traveled extensively, he always had a good story to share with the many people who loved him. His generosity, sense of humor, and charm will never be forgotten.

Stephen is survived by his three loving daughters Christina (Scott) Stevens, Kim (James) Vienneau, and Angela (Jonathan) Gaudet; grandchildren Emily, Josh, and Cooper; sister Debra Harling; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Stephen was predeceased by his wife Francine (née Arsenault) MacNeil and his parents.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 (309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB).
