Obituary of Duane Edward Ervin
With heavy hearts, the family of Duane Edward Ervin announce his sudden passing on May 8, 2023. Born on June 5, 1964, in Saint John NB, he was a son of Edward and Janet (née Maxwell) Ervin.
Duane was a caring, loving, and devoted family man who always put his family and friends before himself. He loved participating in all sporting activities with his children, Alyssa and Jace Wright, such as basketball, volleyball, and softball. He was a coach for both children’s Saint John High sporting teams and played as a spare for the Slo-Pitch softball league with Alyssa. With his friends, he enjoyed fishing trips; building with his father-in-law, Brian; watching the super bowl with his brother Daniel and others; and was regularly seen at the Pub Down Under having a beer with the kind staff he considered friends. He also very much enjoyed the company of his girlfriend and their family, whom he and his children considered family. He was also loved by all animals, and any dog he ever met chose him as their favorite. He will be forever missed.
Duane is survived by his two loving children, Alyssa and Jace Wright; Mother, Janet Ervin; girlfriend, Louise Rogers and her three daughters: Katey, Sarah, and Ry Rogers; brother, Daniel (Melissa) Ervin; sister, Darlene (Richard) Sangalang; mother and father-in-law, Donna and Brian Wright; nephew, Rikki; six fur babies; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Renna Wright, father, Edward Ervin, and dear friend, Tom Manning.
