Obituary of Brian Robert Mason
It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Brian Robert Mason on April 6, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 13, 1951, in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late Walter and Yvonne (nee Garnet) Mason.
Brian worked for years as a carpenter/scaffolding. He loved fishing, hunting, hockey especially the Toronto Maple Leafs. If you knew him, you wouldn’t forget him. He loved his grandchildren and his daily visits with them.
Brian is survived by his loving wife Debra (nee Tracy) Mason of 47 years; son’s Robert (Vicki) and Andrew (Kimberly); daughter Michelle (Herman); grandchildren; Nigel, Ryelynn, Sophia, Isabella, Talon, Pearl, Jade; brothers: Jack (Patsy), Bruce (Kimberly), Norman, Stephen, and Michael; sisters: Gail, Debbie, and Carla (Murray); several nieces and nephews; as well as his dear friend of 47 years, Raymond.
Brian was predeceased by his parents Walter and Yvonne, and his brother Billy.
The family would like to thank the care team on 3B South for the excellent care and compassion shown to Brian and family especially his nurseScott.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home (506) 634-1701 (309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB). A visitation for Brian will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the Funeral Service directly following beginning at 1:00 PM at the Castle Funeral Home Chapel.
