Obituary of Winston Franklin Dorcas
It is with great sadness the family of Winston Franklin Dorcas wish to announce his passing on March 31, 2023, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Fredericton, N.B. on January 19, 1942, Winston was a son of the late Keith and Lillian (Vandine) Dorcas.
Winston is survived by a son, Steven (Karyn) Dorcas and daughter, Bonnie (Dan) Mackowiak, both of Massachusetts, USA, and brother Robert (Debbie) Dorcas of Saint John, N.B. along with several grand children, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also.
Winston is predeceased by his parents, Keith and Lillian, one daughter Cheryl and grandson Jeffrey, also a son -in-law Dan, two brothers Cedric and William and two sisters, Marlene and Jean. Also, a loving niece who he dearly cared for as she did him as well, Judith Randall.
Winston had a long career with Waters Corporation in Milford MA retiring in January 2014.
Winston loved going metal detecting, watching a good western, dancing and taking pictures; he always had his camera ready!!! Also spending time with family.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B. (634-1701). In keeping with Winston’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside burial will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to Bobby’s Hospice as well as the Palliative Care at the SJRH. Online condolences can be made at www.Castlefh.ca.
