So sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a dear friend, a mentor and a fellow volunteer. When my oldest son got diabetes at 3 Shirley became my go to person. She was always available to talk with, giving me support and advise. I joined CDA and spent many hours with both Shirley and John at their home at meetings. They were passionate and dedicated, loving and caring. Because of their encouragement I also volunteered many years with the Diabetes Association. What wonderful role models they were to so many of us.

Dear Kelly, Greg and families;
So very sorry to read of your Mum’s passing. What a lovely photo of her. I always thought she was very beautiful. Your Mom and Dad played a huge role in our Mom’s ( and ours) spiritual life. Your Dad made sure the Healys would get to Mass every Sunday. One time driving back from St. Rose your Dad may have taken a turn a little sharper than usual and the door flung open and my brother Jim almost fell out onto the road. ( One way of getting rid of that little instigator! Ha!) Your poor Dad ! Gave him a terrible fright. They were so kind to us and we remember that.
With Sincere Love and Sympathy,
Anne Healy-Swift
