Obituary of Marion Louise Durdan
It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Marion Louise (Flowers) Durdan on Wednesday March 29, 2023, at the Kingsway Care Center with her daughter Tina by her side. Born in Sunbury Co, N.B. Marion was a daughter of the late George T. and Nancy Louise (Hampton) Flowers, and widow of the late James E. Durdan.
Marion in her younger years worked at the Box Mill where she met her husband, and she also worked at the racetrack.
Marion is survived by one daughter, Tina (Rheal) Durdan, of Saint John, one son, Ed (Joy) Durdan , of P.E.I., two sisters, Muriel Gaunce, of GrandBay -Westfield, Hazel (Bob) Corbett, of Grand Bay – Westfield, sister in law, Gladys Flowers, of Saint John, brother in law, Harold Sargeant, of GrandBay - Westfield, seven grandchildren, Jacob Durdan, Josh (Candice) Dugas, Shayne (Jay) Dugas, Ryan Durdan, Tommy (Cheryl) Keleher, David Keleher, Teesha (Tom) Laskey, eleven great grandchildren, Noah Dugas, Sean- Douglas (Samantha) Keleher, Kaitlin Keleher, Kial Laskey, Clara Laskey, Tommy (Shyla) Jr. Keleher, Catherine (Luke) Keleher, Brady Keleher, and four great great grandchildren, Caroline Keleher, Jace Keleher, Skylar Keleher, Lexus Watson, and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Marion is predeceased by her parents, George T. and Nancy Louise Flowers, husband, James E. Durdan, daughter, Dorothy Keleher, and sons, Patrick Durdan (Infant), and Daniel Durdan, son in law, Tom Love, brothers, William Flowers, Pat Flowers, Frederick Flowers, Douglas Flowers, and sister, Alice Sargeant.
The arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). As per Marion’s wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at Castle Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial service will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Greenwoood Cemetery. Flowers are welcome by family or donations to the Kings Way Care Center would be appreciated. Online condolences can be made at www. Castlefh.ca.
