Obituary of Lino Pascon
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Lino Pascon on March 13, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was comforted by his family at his side following a brief illness.
Lino was born the son of Adriano and Angela Pascon on February 19, 1936 in Fontanellette in the Province of Treviso, Italy.
As a young man Dad followed his brothers to Canada to start a new life. Working in the trades, he and his brothers eventually formed their own construction company in the Masonry and Tile field. Dad later broke into his own company. He was dedicated in his work to support his family and became an accomplished, well recognized and sought after Tile Setter. He took great pride in his family and in everything he did. His labour of love was working in his gardens at the camp. Anyone visiting would get the tour of trees, shrubs and plants not normally seen or grown in the area.
Lino is survived by his partner, Evangeline (Eve) Lee, of Saint John, Jeannette Pascon (mother to his children) of Saint John, sons Aldo (Gail) of Saint John, Silvio (Janet Kempster) of Quispamsis, Cristina of Saint John. Nonno to Anthony (Alyssa) Pascon, Matthew Comeau, Luc Comeau, Jillian Pascon, Mackenzie Comeau and Taylor Comeau and Bisnonno to Thomas Pascon. Also several nephew and nieces.
He is also survived by his brothers Plinio (Yvonne), Sisto (Audrey) of Saint John, Mirella (Piero), Gino (Graziela), Settimo (Rita), Maria Iose (Tony) of Italy. He is pre-deceased by his sister Ada of Italy. A celebration mass will also be held by his family in his hometown of Italy.
Lino’s family would like to thank all those at the Saint John Regional Hospital and especially the Palliative Care staff for their care and kindness.
