Obituary of Jeanette Mary Cosgrove

Surrounded by her loving family, Jeanette Mary Cosgrove passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Woodstock NB, on December 3, 1941, to the late Anthony and Loretta (nee Babineau) Duguay.   

Family meant everything to Jeanette. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jeanette retired from the Royal Bank of Canada as a Teller, her and her husband Arthur travelled all over the world. Together they went on 15 cruises, visited over 20 countries, and spent winters relaxing in Florida for 25 years. No matter where she travelled Jeanette always made time to visit the beaches. Beaches were a place of happiness and relaxation for her.

Jeanette will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 46 years, Arthur Cosgrove; children: Roddy Ouellette, Paula (Mickey) Forbes, Barb (Roy) Ouellette, John (Connie) Cosgrove, Kevin  (Lori) Cosgrove, Danny (Janice) Ouellette, Tricia Cosgrove, Karen (Kevin) Gallant, and Denise (John) Marino; grandchildren: Jaylynn, Colt and Hannah, Jennifer, Brendan and Chris, Evan, Morgan and Lauren, Emma, and Megan; great-grandchildren: Carter, Chloe, and Ben; siblings: Diane McGraw, Danny (Susan) Duguay, Larry (Cathy) Duguay, and Lori (Brian) O’Rourke; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was predeceased by her first husband Norman Ouellette, and her parents Anthony and Loretta.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) visitation for Jeanette will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, beginning at 12:00 PM at the Holy Spirit Parish – St. Rose Worship Site (541 Milford Rd, Saint John).
