Obituary of Ann Elizabeth King
It is with sweet sadness that we announce the end of the journey of our earthly angel, our mother Ann Elizabeth King (nee DePaolo). Mom passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022, at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB. Ann was born on July 27, 1933, in Hamilton, Ontario, to her parents Anthony and Rena (nee Patriccia) DePaolo.
Mom is survived by her three children: Gord (Luanne) King, Cameron King (Liz Edlich), Andrea Foster (Joe Theriault); daughter-in-law Brigitte (Alan – predeceased) King; son-in-law Rodney Foster; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her loving husband James Paterson King, parents, son Alan, brothers: Patrick, Joseph, and Anthony; and sister Gloria
Mom was an active member of the Stoney Creek Alliance Church for over 40 years. She was instrumental at the onset of the primary care program at McMaster University where she worked in the 80’s. Mom was also the co-owner of Admiral Distribution Inc. in Hamilton where she and dad left their mark.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bobby’s Hospice who took such great care of Ann while she was there. Your compassion and attentiveness to her needs were excellent and will never be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). In following with Ann’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place in Hamilton, Ontario in the spring of this year. Donations in Ann’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
