Obituary of Mona (Cindy) Cynthia Anne Jeffries

It is with a broken heart that the family of Mona Cynthia Anne Jeffries announces her passing on November 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and cats. Cindy was diagnosed with cancer and fought a tough battle to the very end. Born on December 7, 1958, in Summerside PEI, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Millicent (nee Gallant) Jeffries.

Family was everything to Cindy, and her two sons were her whole world. Cindy was overjoyed when she became a grandmother. She would spend hours playing with dolls or Barbies with her granddaughter Autumn. Her cats Angel and Pumpkin were very important to her. During her last days Angel never left Cindy’s side. Cindy was also an avid reader and always enjoyed sitting down with a good book. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends.

Cindy is survived by her husband Joseph Baker; sons Michael and Douglas Jeffries; granddaughter Autumn; brother Michael (Karen) Jeffries; sister Diane Jeffries; brother-in-law Wendell Ford; several nieces and nephews; and her cats Angel and Pumpkin.

She is predeceased by her parents, and sisters Willa Jeffries, Sandra Ford, and Nellie Black.

A special thank-you to the Extramural nurses and doctors, as well as the nurses on the Oncology floor.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701).
