Obituary of Janet Violet Matheson

It is with great sadness the family of Janet Violet Matheson announce her passing on Wednesday September 21, 2022, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John on May 31, 1944, to the late Gordon and Violet (Evans) Matheson and widow of Ken Hutchinson.

Janet is survived by four children; Keith DeVenne, Suzanne DeVenne, Wesley (Judi) DeVenne, all of Dartmouth, N.S., Michaela DeVenne, of Saint John. Grandchildren Anthony, Sarah, Jessica, Jasmine and Zachary,14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren,one sister; Judy (Stan) Irvin, several nieces, and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ken, brothers Wayne and Grant, and her parents Gordon and Violet.

Castle funeral home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 11:30am at Castle "Fallsview" Chapel.
